Kokomo Daily Tribune - Wednesday, December 12, 1917:

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel C. Bridwell of West Jefferson Street received a telegram this morning telling of the death of their son, Charles Bridwell, who passed away Tuesday morning at Boston. Death was sudden resulting from heart failure. The remains will be brought to this city for interment.

The news of Mr. Bridwell's death comes as a great shock to his relatives and friends here. He was a baker, formerly in business in this city, but for about ten years was with the Washburn-Crosby Company of flour manufacturers of Minneapolis. The company had sent him to Boston to give a demonstration of a new war flour before a bakers' convention meeting there.

Charles Bridwelll was reared in this city, and his friends here are many. He was forty-one years of age. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Clara Gammans of this city; a son and a daughter his parents; a sister, Mrs. John W. Harbaugh; and a brother, Vern Bridwell.
