Aviation Cadet H. M. Jensen, USNR, was designated Naval Aviator #6003 in 1939. Entered active service via the pre-war AVCAD program.
During World War II, in the South Pacific, as a member of fighting Squadron (VF) Five, LtJG Jensen was credited with seven aerial victories. Was awarded two Navy Crosses, as well as a DFC, and several Air Medals.
LT CMDR Jensen, USN, died at the Naval Hospital, Newport, RI., survived by his widow, Henrietta.
Note: Henrietta (1913 - 2002) would marry James N. Coxsey in 1959.
