Grover J. Freck of Burlington Township died suddenly on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009. He was 79.
Mr. Freck was born in Burlington and remained a lifelong resident.
He was a standard bred horse trainer for 60 years. He belonged to the United State Trainers Association, the Standard Bred Breeders' Association of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and other standard bred breeders' associations.
He also enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Anna E. (Clark); his children: Cindy Truitt (Brice), of Paxinos, Pa., Scott Freck and Cooper Freck (Linda), of Burlington, and Chris Freck of Allentown, N.J., as well as two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; and his sister, Sandra Janson, of Eatonville, Washington.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Florence. Friends also may call from noon until services on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in his name to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, P.O. Box 1820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015, would be appreciated by his family.
