D. H. Luce, 63, Of Merced Succumbs
MERCED, Feb. 13 - Funeral services for D. H. Luce, 83, Merced livestock operator and manager of the Alfarata Ranch, who died in the Mercy Hospital yesterday, will be held in the Ivers & Alcorn Mission Chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. David McMartin will officiate. Entombment will be in the Evergreen mausoleum.
Luce was born in New York and lived in California for twenty eight years and in Merced for eight years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges in Rochester, Minn.
Surviving him are a widow, Mrs. Myra Luce, and his mother, Mrs. Maude Pease of Merced; two daughters, Mrs. Leora Allen of Palo Alto and Mrs. Myra Wyre of Pasadena, and a brother, E. C. Luce of Portland.
