Gospel preacher. He spoke on the 10th Annual Bible Lectureship at Freed-Hardeman College in January 1946.

B. B. James, 75, died May 19 as the result of an automobile accident. James spent 58 years preaching and gave his first sermon in Humphreys County, Tenn., at the age of 17. He preached for churches in Centerville, Waynesboro, Henderson, Paris, Marlboro, and Henry, Tenn. He was preaching at the Pineview Church of Christ near Hohenwald at the time of his death. Preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Dunagan James, Jan. 14, he is survived by two sons, Dr. Tom James of Springfield, Tenn., and Buford Belmonte James Jr. of Paris, Tenn.; two daughters, Lavonne McClish of Denton, Texas, and Sherrill Sajdak of Glendale, Calif.; three brothers; four sisters; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. - Gospel Advocate, July, 1992, page 37.
