Louisa O'Bierne 1873-1954

Funeral services were held Monday morning for Mrs. Louisa O'Beirne, a resident of Shevlin for many years, who died Friday, September 17. Last rites were held in Our Lady of Victory Church at Shevlin with Father Monroe of Fosston officiating at Requiem Mass. Burial was made in the St. Joseph's Cemetery at Bagley.
Louisa Zittleman O'Beirne was born July 17, 1873 at Bernstein, Germany and came to the United States at the age of seven years.
She was married to Edward O'Beirne in 1892 at Oakfield, Wisconsin, where they farmed until 1902. They then moved to Wadena where they remained until 1932, the year they established residence near Shevlin. Mr. O'Beirne died in 1938. Mrs. O'Beirne was living with her son Vincent, during her last illness.
Surviving are her children, Clarence of Shevlin, Vincent of Shevlin, Earl of Breckenridge, Bernard of Chicago, Mrs. Florence Eastey of Minneapolis, Mrs. A.C. Jaeb of Seattle, Mrs. Jack Presta of Chicago, Mrs. John Formusa of Gary, Indiana, and Mrs. Walter Brennan of Wilton.
Also among he survivors are 34 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
