"Funeral services for Waldo Thomas Cooper, 75 of Boyne City, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Stackus Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifford Molnar of Boyne City Faith community Church officiating and burial in Boyne Valley Cemetery, Boyne Falls.


Mr. Cooper died Sept. 10, 1983 at his home on Deer Lake, following a long illness.


He was born Aug. 13, 1908, in Detroit, the son of Thomas and Gertrude Cooper.


Mr. Cooper was self-employed as a brick mason and had resided in East Detroit area until 1964 when he moved to the Deer Lake area.


He was a graduate of Southwestern High School in Detroit and on July 3, 1937 he married the former Alice Upton in Detroit.


Mr Cooper was a member of the Trowel Trade Union of Detroit and member of the Boyne City Senior Citizens.


Survivors include his wife; one son Curtis Cooper of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter Sandra Earnest of South Bend Ind.; five grandchildren."
