Roy S. Stewart, 67, of Strodes Mills, Lewistown, R.D. 4 died Thursday, March 20, 1969 at 9:40 a.m. in Lewistown Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past month.

Born June 5, 1901 in Hastings, he was a son of John Wesley and Margaret (Walker) Stewart. He was twice married, first to Kathleen Peace, who preceded him in death. His second wife, Verna W. Wible Runk Stewart of Strodes Mills, survives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert E. Stewart of Lewistown R.D.2 and Neil J. Stewart of Mechanicsburg R.D.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and the following brothers and sisters: Earl Stewart and Mrs. Nellie Narmo; both of Linwood, N.J.; Paul Stewart, Adamsburg; Mrs. McGowan (Olive) Humphrey, Linwood, N.J. and John Stewart, Hastings.

The deceased had been employed in the acid department of the American Viscose Division of FMC Corporation, Lewistown, retiring July 1, 1968. He belonged to TWUA Local No. 6, the 25 year club and Pensioners Club. Stewart was a member of the Hastings United Methodist Church; the Loyal Order of Moose and Owls Club, both in Lewistown, and the Junction, Fame and West Granville Fire Companies.

Interment will be made in Juniata Memorial Park.
