OBITUARY :
The funeral for LESTER JOHN SEE, 75, of Rt. 1, Mathias will be held Saturday, January 11, at the Jenkins Chapel United Methodist Church near Mathias.

The service was conducted by the Revs. Wayne Miller and C. Reynolds Simmons, Jr. Burial was in the Cullers Family Cemetery near Mathias.

Mr. See died Wednesday January 8, at his home.

He was a retired schoolteacher and administrator and a farmer. He was a member and treasurer of Jenkins Chapel United Methodist Church and a charter member and past treasurer of the Mathias Ruritan Club.

He was born Jan. 31, 1910, in Mathias and was a son of the late Arthur A. and Rebecca Jenkins See.

On Aug. 2, 1927, he married Lottie V. Shipe, who died Feb. 15, 1985.

Surviving are three sons, Covie E. See of Charlottesville, Va., Vernon D. See of Criders, Va., and Eldon W. See of Broadway, Va; a daughter, Sue E. Merritt of Bowie, Md.; a sister, Virdie Mongold of Timberville, Va.; two brothers, Glade A. See of Mathias and Irvin See of Broadway; and five grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Jenkins Chapel United Methodist Church, in care of Raymond Daugherty, Rt. 1, Mathias, WV 26812.
