TEMPLETON - John D. Blair, 55, of 336 Otter River Road, Templeton, died early Saturday, February 10th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Gardner after a short illness.

He was born in Winchendon on December 30,1951, the son of Doris S. (Theroux) Blair of Winchendon and the late Reginald E. Blair. John grew up in Winchendon and graduated from Murdock High School in 1970. Following high school, he enlisted in the National Guard in 1971, serving for six years.

John was a commercial truck driver for New England Wooden Ware of Gardner for 37 years until recently. He was a member of Royalston Rod and Gun Club. His hobbies included target shooting and scuba diving. John built five houses in Winchendon and Templeton.

In addition to his mother, John leaves two children, Janelle Cornwell and her husband, Gary of Orange and John R. Blair and his wife, Kathleen of Otter River; two brothers, Donald J. Blair and David J. Blair, both of Winchendon; a sister, Judith D. Busby of Homosassa, Florida; four grandchildren, Emily and Norah Blair and Brandon and Kaylee Cornwell; his fiance Marcia MacAloney of Templeton, his former wife, Carol (Farrar) Menard of Fitzwilliam, NH and several nephews and nieces.
