Herbert Wiley Shannon, 50, of Louisville, KY, and formerly of Ardmore, TN, died Saturday, September 19, 1981, at his home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 22, at 1 p.m. at Rainey's Funeral Home Chapel in Ardmore, TN, with Bro. Jack Carroll and Bro. A. L. Michael officiating. Burial was in the Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore with Rainey's Funeral Home
in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Shannon was the son of the late Wiley and Lula Mangrum Shannon.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Williams Shannon of Louisville, KY; one daughter Deborah Burnett of Louisville, KY; one son, Eddie Lee Shannon of Athens, AL. three brothers, Cliff Shannon of Elkmont AL, Foster Shannon and Homer Shannon
both of Louisville, KY; two sisters, Mrs. aline Pressnell of Toney, AL, and Mrs. Odean Smith of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Nephews Serving as pallbearers were Carlos Shannon, Joe Shannon, Gary Shannon, Kenneth Willard, Calvin Griffin, and Jimmy Hamley.
