Mrs. Mary A. Rainbolt, was born Mary A McNair in Tennessee 14 January 1851, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clabe McNair, deceased, and died 29 June 1938, aged 87 years, five months and 15 days., at the home of her son Mark Rainbolt, at St. Joe. She came with her parents to Arkansas in early childhood.
She was married to G. N. Rainbolt 9 September 1869. To this union were born nine children, five of whom survive.
They are : Mrs. A. M. Watts of Wyandotte, Oklahoma ; Mrs. Robert Morris, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma ; J. D. Rainbolt and Mark Rainbolt of St. Joe ; and Mrs. Riley Baker of Gilbert.
Besides her children, she leaves 45 grand children, and about 25 great grand children and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Her husband preceded her in death five years.
Mrs. Rainbolt professed faith in Christ at the age of 17 and joined the Methodist Church and lived a true and faithful life unto the end.
The body was laid to rest in the Osborne Cemetery at St. Joe Thursday afternoon, June 30, in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. Reverend T. C. Chambliss, pastor of the Marshall Methodist Church, conducted the funeral services.
