Aug. 19, 1942-Dec. 8, 2008

Mrs. Jackline Callie Bryant, 66, of Lanagan, Mo., departed this life Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at the Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Mo.


Jackline was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Noel, Mo., daughter of the late Orval Lee and Goldia Marie (Kinion) Bryant. She was raised in Noel, Mo., and for the last several years she has called the Anderson and Lanagan area home.


Throughout her life she worked as an over-the-road truck driver. She attended worship services at the Hope Pentecostal Church in Noel. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and working puzzles.


She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Sylvester Drew Collins; two sisters, Audrey Steenrod and Lois Ewing; and a step-daughter, Janet Beckwith.


Jackline is survived by four daughters, Lora Tate of Anderson, Mo., Tammie Funderburg and husband, Stephen, of Grapevine, Ark., Mary Leal and husband, Oscar, of Lanagan, Mo., LeAnn Klider and husband, Les, of Pine Bluff, Ark.; a son, David Tate Sr. and wife, Denise, of Centerton, Ark.; three step-daughters, Sylvia Scanlan of Joplin, Mo., Leslie Casey of Seligman, Mo., and Misty Caple of North Little Rock, Ark.; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Orval Bryant Jr. of Cameron, Mo.; a sister, Betty Bowsher of Bakersfield, Calif.; her beloved dog, Bandit; as well as a host of other family and friends.


Funeral services for Jackline Callie Bryant will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Sumner officiating. Burial will be in the Lanagan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel.
