Meldra Moore, 77, passed away December 8, 2009, at the Sweet Life of Grand Court in Overland Park. A private family service will be held. Interment will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations made in Meldra's honor to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114.

Meldra Leola Reed was born August 2, 1932, in Macon GA, the youngest child of Thomas Orie (T.O.) and Lillian Reed. After high school, Meldra worked at Warner Robins Air Force Base, where she met future husband, Keith Moore. They were married April 4, 1952, and lived in Mountain Home, ID, and Lawrence, KS, before settling in Overland Park in 1959.

Meldra found joy in being a wife, mother and grandmother, and will be missed by many. She was a terrific southern cook, decorator, and conversationalist. She had a sense of humor that will be missed by her family and friends.

Meldra was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William Reed (Charlotte, NC) and Herman "Bubby" Reed (Atlanta), sisters Betty June Hansford (Dayton, OH) and Annelle Morgan (Macon, GA), former husband Keith Moore, and first born child, Melissa Ann Moore.

She is survived by son Brad Moore (Kim) and daughter Leslie Prebyl (Richard), and four grandchildren, Ryan and Emily Moore and Drake and Brent Prebyl, all of Overland Park. Also surviving is her sister, Chris Stevenson of Lawrenceville, GA, sister-in-law Benita Reed of Charlotte, brother-in-law Charles Morgan of Macon, and numerous nieces and nephews. (Arr.: Mt.
