Son of Charles & Julia Ann (Heyle) Adiar.
On August 28, 1922, he was united in marriage to Edith Underwood in St. Joseph, MO. She preceded him in death on June 5, 1983. Survivors include son Charles (Marjorie) Adair of Mondamin, IA; 3 granddaughters, Katherine Adair, Kansas City, KS, Kelly Adair, Omaha, and Karen Adair, Orlando, FL; 3 great granddaughters, Alexa Adair, and Alexandra and Margo Bradley.

passed away Friday, December 11, 2009, at a Bethany health care facility.
He was born July 30, 1898, in Hatfield, Missouri, the son of Charles and Julia Ann (Heyle) Adair.
Herb started his banking career with the Bank of Hatfield in Hatfield. After
many years of working at different banks around Missouri, Herbert accepted a position at the Bethany Trust Co. He worked there and retired as the Executive Vice President on March 1, 1969.
Herbert was an avid softball and croquet player. One of his favorite past times was watching and supporting the St. Louis Cardinals.
On August 28, 1922, he was united in marriage to Edith Underwood in St. Joseph. They were married 61 years. Herb and Edith resided in Bethany where they were members of the United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on June 5, 1983.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, Charles Adair and wife, Marjorie, of Mondamin, Iowa; three grandchildren, Katherine Adair, Kansas City, Kan., Kelly Adair, Omaha, Neb., and Karen Adair, Orlando, Fla.; three great-granddaughters, Alexa Adair and Alexandra and Margo Bradley.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, at the Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, with burial in Weaver Chapel Cemetery, Hatfield. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
