Long time Del Norte resident Jose Anthony Valle, 57, died Oct. 4, 2004 at the Rio Grande Hospital in Del Norte.
He was born Dec. 11, 1946 in Del Norte to Joe and Rose Silva Valle and married his wife of 34 years, Virginia Baca, on Sept. 27, 1968 in Del Norte. Jose served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
Jose retired from Qwest where he worked as an installer and plant technician for 27 Years. His hobbies were fishing, gardening and being in the outdoors. His special love was spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Valle of Del Norte; children, Robin (Anthony) Martinez of Del Norte, Carrie (Julian) Trujillo and Crystal (Ruben) Calderon, both of Colorado Springs; grandchildren Bryttani R. Martinez, Danielle R. Martinez, and Tre Anthony Valle; one sister, Mary Valle-Archuleta of Del Norte; his nephew and niece, Jeff Gallegos and Angelica Archuleta; and one great-niece, Monique Gallegos.
His parents; one brother-in-law, Louis Archuleta; and one niece, Rosie Gallegos, preceded him in death.
