Sgt.,/M Albert S. Chastain, 46, 1482 S. 16th St., Nobleville, a 20 year U.S. Army veteran, died Monday at the fort hospital at Fort Benjamin Harrison.
Born Nov. 18, 1921 in Evansville, Ind., he was a son of Dempsey R. and Nora Bell (Campbell) Chastain and was a member of the Evansville Lutheran Church and V.F.W. Post of Noblesville. He was a a graduate of Central School, Evansville.
During his 20-year military career he saw action in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife. D.E. Chastain; a daughter,Joyce Daley; three sons, Albert Chastain Jr., Michael and Jeffrey C Chastain; his mother, Agnes Chastain, Rock Island, Ill., a brother, Jack Willis, Illinois, a sister Jean Swenson, Omaha, Neb.
