Funeral services were held Monday, January 17, 1983, for Sheryl Jeanette Parker, age 17, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Raymond A. Parker officiated at the services with burial at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Miss Parker passed away at home in Zavalla after an illness. She was a native of Woodville and made her home in Zavalla for the pasts 3 weeks. She was a junior at Zavalla High School.
Survivors include her father, Robert Parker; her mother, Martha Hicks of Woodville; grandparents, Florine Guidry of Woodville, and Mary Parker of Zavalla; 1 brother, Steve Parker of Woodville, half-brother, Jim Fontenot of Burwick, LA; 1 step-sister, April Hick of Woodville; and 3 step-brothers, Leslie Hicks, John Hicks, and Clyde Hicks, Jr, of Woodville.
