THE LAMPASAS LEADER - October, 1907

Rev. B.E. Huggins reports the marriage at his house Sunday at 4 o'clock of Mr. J.A. Kidd, of Houston, to Miss Josephine Harrington, of San Angelo, Texas. The groom is a nephew of J.J. Standard of the northern part of this county, and after a visit there the young people will make their home in Houston.

TYLER COUNTY BOOSTER - January 15, 1970

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Kidd, 80, of Woodville were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Haynes and Dr. R.A. Parker, officiated. Burial was in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral home. Pallbearers were J.W. Cherry, Nell Holton, J.R. McCombs, J. Carl Shepard, Gerald Maynard and J.H. Kenesson, Jr.

Mrs. Kidd died at 8 a.m. Saturday in the Woodville Nursing Center following a long illness. A native of Lampassas County, she had lived in many places in Texas. She had made her home in Woodville for the past 23 years and was the wife of the late Rev. J.A. Kidd.

Survivors include two sons; J.A. Kidd, Jr of Edinburg and Forest L Kidd of McAllen; two daughters, Mrs. T.H. Worthington and Mrs. Robert Hester, both of Houston, and 11 grandchildren.
