Mrs. Philena Essinger, wife of Frank Essinger, died at her home Friday, Dec. 2 at the age 87.
She and her husband came to Grants 25 years ago from Paris, Illinois and were in the restaurant business here.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Essinger of Grants and a brother, Warren Musgrove of Vale, Oregon. Her children are Mrs. Hugh Black and Elijah Essinger of Grants, Vern Essinger of Paris, Ill. and Mrs. Elsie Shirley of Indianapolis, Ind. Also twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, among them Jack and Frank Essinger, Mrs. Philena Matkovich of Grants and Mrs. Elsie Frederick of Carlsbad, survive her.
