Funeral service for Mrs. Lucille Mary Aberle, 69, was held Saturday at the Peet Chapel. Mrs. Aberle died February 26 at Cody.
The Rev. Fred Bolinger conducted the service with Mrs. A.F. DeCastro organist. Mark Lohr, soloist, sang "Does Jesus Care" and "In the Garden."
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Vaughan, Al Lagerberg, Pat Kant, Paul Morton, James Russell and Ed Hales.
Casket bearers were Jess York, Ray Pierce, Jim Groves, Rex Groves, Bob Sides and Sven Johnson. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Lucille Mary Hurley was born January 2, 1906, in Ferris, Ill., the daughter of Minnie May Rhea and William Hurley. Her family moved to Lance Creek in 1919.
In 1921 she Married Otto Frank (Cotton) Aberle at Lusk and they moved to Big Muddy Oil Field then returned to Lance Creek where they lived for many years. In 1972 they moved to Cody.
Survivors include one son John of Cody; one brother, Roy Gilbert Brown of Amarillo, Texas; six sisters Gail Brown, Fort Collins, Colo., Mildred Jeffries, Weslaco, Texas, Euresa Gordon, Pendleton, Ore., Bernice Wages, Rawlins, Billie Shafer, Cody and Dorothy Gunderson, Worland; one granddaughter and 4 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, one daughter Francis and one brother Royce died previously.
