SUPPLY–Mrs. Vera Varnam Robbins, age 96, of Varnamtown, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at Autumn Care Nursing Center, Shallotte.
Mrs. Robbins was born in Brunswick County February 7, 1908, and was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Kate Caison Varnam. She was the wife of the late Arthur James Robbins and was also preceded in death by her son, James Arthur Robbins; also brothers and sisters, Ruth Caison, Johnnie Varnam, Hoyle D. Varnam, Lula Sullivan. She was a member of Gospel Center Baptist Church.
She is survived by two grandchildren, James Arthur Robbins II and wife Tonyaj Lisa R. Grant and husband Terry all of Supply; two great-grandchildren, Austin Robbins and Nadia Robbins of Supply; a daughter-in-law, Clara, Parker of Kelly, NC; two brothers, Reverend Weston Varnam and Edd Varnam both of Supply, a sister, Zelma Phillips of Leland.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 18, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Gospel Center Baptist Church with Reverend Doug Worley officiating.
Burial will follow in Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Bryan Varnam, Dusty Varnam, Michael Caison, Kevin Caison, Brent Varnam, Jimmy Sullivan.
