Carolyn Ethel Stevens, daughter of Eugene Elvin and Alberta M. Stevens of Sumner, Nebr., was born Sept. 4, 1944 at Cheyenne, Wyo., and passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital March 9, 1966, at the age of 21 years, six months, and five days.

At the age of 18 months, she, with her family, moved to a farm near Gibbon, Nebr. Here she attended kindergarten at a rural school. On Sept. 1, 1950, the family moved to the present farm home at Sumner, Nebr. She attended Trapper's Grove Rural School until 1957, when the school consolidated with Sumner, Nebr., where she was graduated from high school in 1962.

She was graduated from Central Business College of Denver, Colo., in 1963, and worked as a medical secretary in Denver for eight months. On July 1, 1964, she began work as a medical secretary at the Platte Valley Medical Clinic at Kearney, Nebr., where she was employed until the time of ther death.

Carolyn attended Sunday School and church wherever she resided.

Carolyn is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Stevens, two sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Alberta Ritchie, Biloxi, Miss.; and Patricia Jean Stevens, Sumner, Nebr.; one brother, Duane Eugene Stevens, Sumner, Nebr.; a nephew, Steven Lynn Ritchie; a niece, Gail Lorraine Ritchie; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Ritchie, all of Biloxi, Miss.; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Baer, Kearney, Nebr.; ten uncles; eleven aunts; many cousins; many other relatives and friends.

Carolyn was a happy, kind, and loving person, and will be sadly missed by her family and all of those who knew and loved her.
