Mrs. Steele was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, Ill., enjoyed bowling, and was an avid Cardinal's fan. Arlou was a homemaker, and was also employed at Weilbacher's Grocery Store in Columbia, Ill.
Arlou was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Lydia, nee Schewe, and Clarence Stoner.
Surviving are her husband, Donald P. Steele, whom she married on Sept. 11, 1954, in Waterloo, Ill.; children, Craig Paul (Tonya) Steele of Columbia, Ill., Terri Lea Hargis of Valmeyer, Ill., and Jan Marie(Gary) Toon of Columbia, Ill.; grandchildren, Kyle P. Steele, Cole A. Hargis, Jill A. Steele, Jenna M. Toon and Jamie M. Toon; sister, Merle Wischmeier of Waterloo, Ill., along with other relatives and friends.
