Mrs. Christine Moore Hopkins, 92, of Palmetto, formerly of Washington, died August 25, 2008 in Piedmont Hospital, Fayetteville. She was a native of Taliaferro County and the daughter of the late Samuel Jackson Moore and Florence Edwards Moore. Mrs. Hopkins was a retired schooschool teacher and the widow of Orlando W. Hopkins. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Washington.

Funeral servicws will be Thursday at 11:00a.m. in First Baptist Church with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Rodney Bowler, Chet Cofer, Bill Hopkins, Jr., Deric Garcia, Ralph Hopkins and Randy Young will serve as pallbearers.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Sam Moore and Elaine Hopkins, of McDonough; one daughter and son in law, Sue Hopkins and Bill Cofer, of Brunswick; one sister, Evelyn M. Pierce, Crawfordville; three grandchildren, Kimberly H. Bowler, Julie H. Garcia and Chet W. Cofer; and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church on Thursday, at 10am until service time.

Memorial contributions may be made to the "Together We Build" program of First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 603, Washington, Ga. 30673.
