Geneva Alvey Christensen, age 76, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away at her home on April 5, 1990.


She was born October 15, 1913 in Escalante, Utah to Lafayette and Sarah Mae Shirts Alvey.


She married Loynel Clyde Christensen in Escalante, Utah on April 8, 1930. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 8, 1960.


An active member of the LDS Church, she has served as a Primary Teacher and in the Primary presidency. She was also a temple worker and a member of the D.U.P.


Survivors: husband, Loynel, Salt Lake City; children, Mrs. Thomas (Geneal) Stowe, Sandy; Mrs. Robert (LaWayne) Jackman, Wales, Utah; Mrs. Max (Anita) Shell, Soda Springs, Idaho; Wayde Christensen and his wife, Sandy, of Salt Lake City; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Persell Alvey, Bountiful; Elva Barney, Sandy; Quince Alvey, Las Vegas, Nevada; Ordell Alvey, Kanab; Meleta Butler, Richfield; William Alvey, Williamsport, Maryland; Cuma Demas, Sandy.


Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 9, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cannon Fourth Ward Chapel, 1301 South 1200 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street (100 East), on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday at the Church one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
