Mrs. Eva Mae Garrett Howell, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 10, 2009. Born on March 8, 1918, Mother Howell attended Pueblo Public Schools and graduated later in life from college with a degree in Mental Health.

She was employed by movie producer Frank Bacon in Los Angeles, California; St. Mary-Corwin Hospital and Colorado State Hospital as a Psychiatric Technician. She loved to knit and crochet, spend time with her family, crossword puzzles and anything chocolate. She was an excellent cook and had a flair for fashion. She loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church, reading the Bible for the preacher and singing.

She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Thomas & Eleanor Garrett; siblings, Clarence, Nollie & Arthur Garrett, Florine Williams, Velma Bolden and Frances Garrett; husband, Charles Howell; niece, Marie Bolden.

Survived by children, Judy Howell, Linda Ransom and Gary (Bessie) Howell; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; special pet, "Miscee" and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Romero Chapel. Funeral service 12 p.m. Saturday at Romero Chapel with Elder Herbert Lofton officiating.

Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will be received at Romero Courtesy Hall following interment.
