BELOVED WOMAN PASSES THURSDAY

City Saddened to Hear of Passing Of Mrs. Vance B. Andriste, Sycamore Resident For More Than Twenty-Five Years.

Mrs. Vance B. Andriste, a resident of Sycamore for more than 25 years, passed away Thursday morning at 9:35 o'clock after becoming seriously ill on Wednesday.
For the past several years Mrs. Andriste had suffered from an illness that never left her. In August of this year her sickness became acute and she spent many weeks in the local hospital where she recovered from the attack. Earlier this week she was stricken again, but she never rallied this time.

Born In Wisconsin
Mrs. Andriste was born on September 12, 1890, at Edgerton, Wis., the daughter of James and Mary Ann Mulligan. She received her education in Janesville, Wis., and after graduation she lived in communities in northern Illinois.
On July 7, 1925, she was united in marriage to Vance B. Andriste of Sycamore in a ceremony performed in this city.
Her passing has brought sadness to many outside and inside the family circle, for her friends here were many. When she had her health she was very active in the social life of this community and her many fine traits of character and her friendliness won for her a warm place in the hearts oa all who knew her. Her generosity and heplfulness made her a much liked citizen and neighbor.
An enviable record of achievement is left by Mrs. Andriste for she faithfully served the DeKalb-Ogle Telephone company for eighteen years as chief operator. She was an active and capable member of the Fortnighters club and the S.O.N. club, the Legion Auxilliary and St. Mary's church.
Survivors are her husband, two brothers of St. Paul, Minn., L.J. and J.E. Mulligan; three sisters, Mrs. L.O. Johnson of DeKalb whose husband passed away two months ago, Mrs. W. J. McGirk, and Mrs. Louie Lindsay, both of Sycamore; two nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Kebil Funeral Home at 9:00 o'clock Monday morning anbd at 9:30 from St. Mary's church, the Rev. P.S. Masterson officiating. Interment will be in a Sycamore cemetery.
