Glenda Lee Yates, 62, of Laurel, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Ellisville Cemetery. The Revs. Johnny Bryant and D.J. Benson will officiate.
A homemaker, she was a member of Salem Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Columbus Lee and Minnie Lee Price Roney, and two brothers, Richard Roney and Allen Roney.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Harold Wesley Yates of Laurel; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry Wesley and Vicky Lynn Yates of Ellisville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Faye and Buddy Allen Davis and Angelia Kaye and Thomas Kelvin Mitchell, all of Ellisville; three brothers, Lavell Roney of Sandersville, Albert Roney of Georgia and Joseph Roney of Waynesboro; four sisters, Barbara Smith of Meadville, Diane Overstreet of Waynesboro and Martha Pitts and Judy Patrick, both of Laurel; six grandchildren, Roman Allen Davis, Daniel Justin Davis, Sarah Leann Davis, Terry Wesley Yates Jr., Jamie Harold Yates and Samuel Thomas Mitchell; and two great-grandchildren, Justin Nathaniel Davis and Victoria Leann Yates.
Pallbearers will be Roman Davis, Daniel Davis, T.J. Yates, Jamie Yates, Gary Yates, Greg Smith and Hank Roney.
