George, the son of George Edward and Maud Mallard (Dorris) Booth, was dead on arrival at Ward Memorial Hospital following an apparent heart seizure at a local restaurant.
According to his obit, George was a 20 year resident of Monahans and was employed as assistant office manager for Perry R. Bass at the time of his passing.
George's obit also reports that he was a veteran of World War II and a Baptist.
The obit lists his survivors as his widow (Grace Emmeline (Abbott) Booth) and two children, John and Margaret, both of whom were still living at home. The obit includes additional survivors: his mother, Mrs. Maude Kelly of Ranger; one sister, Mrs. Allie Hyatt, Ranger; and three brothers, C. E. and Ray of El Paso and Odell of Ranger.
The obit lists the following pallbearers: Henry F. Wurtz Jr., S. J. Scarborough, and Sam Lowe, all of Monahans; O. C. Sloan and J. O. Sloan, both of Odessa; and L. M Mills, Kermit.
