Funeral services for Carmen Ezella Brewer, 85, of Crossville, who passed away Feb. 27, 1997, were conducted Sunday, March 2 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with interment at Atkins Cemetery, Bro. Arlon Way officiated.
Pallbearers were Billy Wood, Oliver Brewer, Richard Standefer, Dennis Sapp, Raymond and Randy Brewer. Mrs. Brewer was born March 27, 1911 in Robertson County, Tenn., to the late Lee Roy and Bell Suggs Darrow. She was a homemaker and member of the Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Victor Brewer; sister, Eva McGrew; half brother, Andrew Brewer; half sister, Garnette Sanders; stepson, L.B. Brewer; and stepdaughters, Mary Burgess, Mozell Burgess and Daisy Cody.
Survivors include her stepsons, Aluah Brewer and James L. Brewer, both of Elyra, Ohio; stepdaughters, Wyneet Shrum and Myrtle Jo Nichols, both of Crossville; half sisters, Winnie Myrtle Howe of Arkansas, Carnettia Peters and Ann Louise Agrrera, both of Clarksville, Tenn., and Sue Darrow of New York; half brothers, William Robert Brewer of Spencer, Ronald Darrow of Madisonville, Kent., Alfred Darrow of Springfield, Tenn., Jimmy Darrow of Russellville, Ark., Edgar Darrow of Indianapolis, Ind., and John Ewing Darrow of Strugess, Ky.
