Grace Ellen Ball was the daughter of James Henry Ball and Nora Ellen Honaker.
She was born 1 Jul 1915 in Russell County, Virginia. Nora, her mother, died from tuberculosis, in 1919. James took his two daughters and lived with his sister Dora's family in Boyle County, Kentucky. His mother, Ellen, was there as well.
Some show a son, Arch Ball, born in 1916 as a brother to Grace and Della. But this comes from a 1920 census of a James Ball, wife Ida and son Arch. People assume that Ida is Ada Alice, James's 2nd wife, but it is not.
James remarried on 14 Oct 1920 to Ada Alice Honaker. Grace was only 5 or 6 years old and likely considered Ada her "mother". Some records actually show Ada as her mother, but she was her step mother.
Grace married Nathan Easley Honaker on 27 Feb 1932 in Danville, Kentucky. They had a very large family. Grace died very young, as did her mother. She had cancer that metastasized. She passed on 20 Dec 1957 at the age of 42. She died in Parksville and is buried in the Parksville Cemetery.
