∼Christina came to Roach area of Cabell County with her husband, Capt. Andrew Hatfield, ca. 1802. When she died, in 1809, she was buried on their farm near "the sharp bend of the Guyan River" as stated in a 1940 manuscript by a great-great-granddaughter. Capt. Hatfield was also buried there when he died in 1813. Thru time and flooding, the gravesites disappeared. A "memorial marker" was placed in the Hatfield Cemetery, less than a mile up the road at Inez, WV, for Capt. Hatfield by the DAR. At the time they didnot know Capt. Hatfield's true burial place.
