Funeral for Nicole Juliette Jones, 71, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with Harley Davidson officiating.

She died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, in Lawton.

Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

She was born March 13, 1938, in Paris, to Roger and Georgette Remy LeRoy. She was raised and attended school in Paris. She married Austin Jones on March 23, 1959, in Fontainebleau, France, and assumed the role of a military wife and mother. Prior to their final transfer to Fort Sill in 1971, the family lived at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Fort Bliss, Texas, Fort Lewis, Wash., and twice in Germany. She was a meat cutter at Gibson's Meat Company for more than 20 years, retiring in 2006 due to health problems. She was a long-time member of the VFW ladies Auxiliary Post 5263 and a member of the French Club in the 1970's and early 1980's in Lawton. She enjoyed making ceramics and spending time with her many, long-time friends.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Donna Jones, Cache; two daughters and a son-in-law: Cathleen Jones and Diane and Bill Strobeck, all of Lawton; grandchildren and their spouses: Jeremiah and Heather Jones, Lawton; Amanda and Chezaray Hall, Fairview; Brian Jones and Amber Ellsworth, both of Cache; and Darius Strobeck, Nicholas Strobeck, Jennifer Torralba and Jessica McCauley, all of Lawton; five great-grandchildren: Patrick Jones, Dominick Jones, Nathan Jones, Zariah Hall and Gabrial Dalby; three sisters: Hugette Hubert, Paris; Liliane McKay, Stillwater, Minn.; and Rolande Lilly, Canada; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a nephew, Johnny Jolly.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
