Dewey Lafayette Harvey, 88, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Lackey Memorial Hospital. Visitation was Saturday, December 5, 2009, from 9:30 a.m. to 9:55 a.m. with a memorial services following at 10 a.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Lake. Officiating was the Rev. Tom Harvey. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harvey was a lifelong resident of Scott County, and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He had served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Ida Harvey and ten brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Harvey, Forest; one son, Kenneth Harvey and wife Marilynne, Forest; one grandchild, Jeremy Harvey and wife Brandi; one great grandchild, Hanna Harvey.

Honorary pallbearers were Billy Wayne Ladd, Ronnie Ladd, Chris Bagley, Steve Bagley and Charles Kelley.
