Mrs. Sims, 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, in Anderson Hospital in Meridian.
She was born and reared in Neshoba County where she made her home all of her life.
Mrs. Sims was a member of New Pleasantdale Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Uriah Sims.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara Chitwood and Patsy Gilmer, both of Philadelphia; son, Thurman Glen Sims of Kosciusko; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Claudie Mae Drake of Philadelphia.
Pallbearers were Greg Chitwood, John Rodgers, Wayne McCrory, Paul Hopson, Dwight Griffin, Robert Leach, Ricky Griffin and Jason Smith.
