Ila Marline Davis Ashton, 92, of Kansas City, Kan., passed away December 8, 2009, at home. She was born Oct. 5, 1917, in Evanston, Wyo., daughter of Hubert Oswald Davis and Cora Amelia Daniels-Brown. She is survived by four children, Denis (Carol) of Gilbert, Ariz., Kent (Vicki) of Peoria, Ariz., Gene (Cassie) of River Heights, Utah, and Connie Hepworth (David) of Kansas City, Kan. She leaves 26 grandchildren and 81 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Muriel Kidd of Pleasanton, Calif., and brother, Virgil Davis of St. George, Utah. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening, Dec. 10, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8616 Haskell Avenue, Kansas City, Kan., and from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at the Church. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, at the Church. Interment will be in the Evanston City Cemetery, Evanston, Wyo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Humanitarian Aid Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
