MRS. GEORGE WRIGHT

Mrs. Geo. Wright, of Warren township, died suddenly of heart failure. Maria Antoinette Boss was born April 5, 1846 in Berrien county, Michigan, and died at her home March 13, 1910 at 12 o'clock.

She grew to womanhood in Michigan, then moving with her parents to Northfield, Des Moines county, Iowa. Here she was united in marriage in 1872 to George Wright and the young couple moved immediately to their present home in Warren township. To this happy union were born five children.

She gave her heart to God in her youth, uniting with the Methodist church, afterward with the May Baptist church when it was organized in 1889. She always lived a devoted Christian life, ministering to the wants of those about her. To know her was to be her friend.

She leaves to mourn her loss a kind and loving husband, two children, Eugene, who resides on the home place and Mrs. Nellie Miller, who, having moved to Washington only a short time ago, was unable to be present at the funeral, and one brother, Laurel Boss, of Chariton, besides a host of warm friends.

Those of her children who have preceded her to the better land are Delia and Lucien, who died a few years ago, and Arthur, the first born, who died in infancy.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 14, at one o'clock p.m. at the May Baptist church. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Hugh Moore, of Chariton. Her remains were laid to rest in the Derby cemetery.
