Deceased Name: Otis S. Dunn
Otis S. Dunn, a native of Alexandria, La., a former resident of Duncan, Miss., and a longtime resident of Mobile, died Thursday at a local health care facility. He was 87.
He worked for many years as an independent insurance agent, specializing in maritime-related insurance.
He served during World War II as a lieutenant with the Marine Corp, and during the Korean War as a captain with the U.S. Army.
He was a longtime member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, where he served in several leadership positions and was elected as a lifetime deacon.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Helen Bishop Dunn; a daughter, Robbie Lynn Irvine of Mobile; a son, Chuck Dunn of New Orleans; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 10:30 until the noon funeral at Spring Hill Baptist Church.
