SHREVEPORT, LA- Thedos Moore Lyles, 101, passed away Monday, December 7, 2009 at her residence. Thedos was born September 22, 1908 in Winnfield, LA to the late George W. and Sally Elizabeth Moore. Services will be Thursday, 11:00 A.M. December 10, 2009 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Joey Ketchum of Western Hills Baptist Church were Mrs. Lyles was a member. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday. December 9, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lyles had been the owner/operator of the Outboard Motor Shop and the Bliss Motel.
Her husband, Leslie W. Lyles; sister, Vera D. Grimmett; and two brothers, George A. Moore and Therman Moore, precede Mrs. Lyles in death. She is survived by sister, Sarah M. Smart; brothers, Herman Moore and wife Sunshine and Johnny E. Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to St. Joseph's Hospice and nurse Penny and to Rest Care Home Care and her sisters Sharon, Beverly, and Mary.
