prominent attorney and politician.

He served 2 terms in the Ark. Senate
and 3 terms as Lieutenant Governor
of Arkansas.

He was re-elected in 1938-40.

From 1937-41, Bob Bailey served
240 days as 'Acting Governor.
Bailey sought to make his
'Acting Governor' periods as
uneventful as possible for
the Arkansas.

Following the 3rd term as Lt. Gov.,
Bailey went back to private
law practice.
