Vincent W. Parkinson, 60, of 11 Bisbee Road, Red Mill Farms, was pronounced dead on arrival at Wilmington General Division Saturday.
According to his family, Mr. Parkinson had been suffering from bronchial pneumonia and flu for the past week.
A native of Lansdowne, Pa., he had lived in the Wilmington area since 1946. He was an artist and a professional singer. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Robert Page VFW Post, Upper Darby, Pa. Mr. Parkinson was baritone soloist for the St. Andrews Episcopal Church choir.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eleanor S. Parkinson; a daughter, Miss Barbara A. Parkinson, at home; a son, Frederick R. Parkinson, stationed with the Navy in Norfolk, Va.; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Parkinson, Lansdowne, and a sister, Mrs. Albert Rittenhouse, Collingsdale, Pa.
Funeral services will be private with interment in Riverview Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
