James J. Martin, 56, of 406 Rodman Road, Gordon Heights, died yesterday in Delaware Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Martin had been employed at the Du Pont Company's Chambers Works, Deepwater, N.J., for about 33 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Hillcrest Memorial Methodist Church, 400 Hillcrest Ave.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Velda Birch Martin; two sons, Gary R., stationed with the U.S. Air Force at Oscoda, Mich., and Gene R., at home; and two sisters, Miss Ruth R. Martin and Mrs. William T. Jerman, both of Wilmington.
Funeral services will he held Monday morning at 11 at the McCrery Funeral Home, 2700 Washington St., where friends may call Sunday night after 7.
Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
