Mayor of Buffalo, New York, 1858-1860.In the early 1830's, Timothy began studying medicine. He practiced medicine for ten years a White's Corner. 1857: Dr. Timothy Lockwood ran for Mayor in Buffalo and became the third physician to hold that office. Lockwood married Charlotte of Hamburn and they had two daughters. She died and he remarried on Oct 25, 1869 to Louise C. Francher. She bore him two daughters also. She preceded him in death. During the winter of 1866 Lockwood fell as he stepped from his sleigh and injured his spine, which disabled and blinded him. On Dec. 23, 1870 he passed away in Utica, NY and was buried between the bodie of both of his wives. The Erie County Medical Society met in special meeting to pay tribute to Dr. Lockwood on Dec. 24, 1870. "He came into the world to play the role of the worker, and his career was one of usefulness and honor."
