ST. CLAIR -- Jewell L. Parker, 78, formerly of Port Huron, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1988, in River District Hospital after a short illness. She was born July 28, 1909, in Mount Zion, Ill., and had lived in St. Clair for 30 years. She married Oscar Gerhardt Nov. 6, 1926. He died in 1944. She married Charles B. Parker, May 29, 1957.

Mrs. Parker retired in 1969 from Chrysler Corp.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Ronald L Gerhardt of Mount Clemens, and Charles T. and Jesse M. Parker, both of St. Clair; three daughters, Judy V. Gerhardt of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Catherine M. Parker of Smiths Creek and Mary E. Bower of Harrison; one brother, John Grindol of Decatur, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the L. C. Friedrichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. the Rev. Edward Ritter of St. Mary's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
