Our beloved father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, Fredrick Leon Schofield, age 73, died on November 11, 2000 in West Valley City, Utah.

He was born on January 28, 1927 in Alpine, Utah, a son of John Gardner and Elsie McDaniel Schofield. He married Boneta Taylor on April 4, 1945 in Ely, Nevada; later divorced. He married Ruthe Gore on April 20, 1981 in Elko, Nevada. She died on June 19, 1995.

Survivors by children: Sharren (Steve) McCauley, Bonnie (James) Davis, Tracey Ann Schofield, all of West Valley City, Utah; Loye Joanell Coots, Ohio; Tricia Paige Chaudoin, Littleton, Colorado; Troy Leon Schofield, Salt Lake City, Utah and Richard O'Neill, Salina, Utah; 12 grandchildren;11 3/4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Mills. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruthe, parents, sisters, Alta Dotson and Lorraine Fields.

The family would like to expresss their thanks to two special friends, Steve and Charlotte Fillmore and Heritage Hospice for all their care.

According to Leon's wishes, there would be no services. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Homes.
