Virginia "Virgie" Shields At rest on February 26, 2007, at age 61. A native of San Francisco, Virgie was the devoted wife of William "Bill" Shields for over 36 years; cherished mother of Charlotte M. Briñas (her fiancé; Gustavo Jarquin) and Michelle R. Davis. Proud grandmother of Samantha and Dominic Briñas and Jeremy Davis; and loving sister of Rose Marie Arce. Beloved daughter of the late Louis and Genevieve Montalbano. She is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. She loved to cook and entertain for her family and friends. When her children attended the Epiphany School, Virgie was very active in all facets there. Friends may visit on Wednesday after 4:00 PM, and are invited to attend the Vigil Service on Thursday at 7:00 PM, and the Funeral Service on Friday at 10:30 AM from the chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co., then to Church of the Epiphany where an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Committal to follow at the Italian Cemetery.
