Nolan (Doc) Cain, 78, of Harrisonburg, La., died May 16, 1992, at a Harrisonburg Nursing Home. He was born Dec. 2, 1913, at Aurora, Ark., the son of Emeline (Cain) Elsey. He was a disabled Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur Cain of Benecia, Calif., and Ronney Cain of Springdale; four daughters, Zandra Cain and Shirley Stephens of Springdale, Janice Faye Swift of Lowell and Clela Jackson of Greenwood; three brothers, Keith Elsey and Gene Elsey of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Olen Elsey of Farmington; one sister, Donnia Lynn of Niles, Mich.; two aunts, Arilda Dennis of Aurora and Delia McElhaney of Hindsville; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held May 19 at 2 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.
