Son of Eliphalet Robinson, Jr. and Betsey Wood, b. at Claremont, NH Oct. 16, 1790. Lovell can be traced through the 1820 census of the town of Roxbury, Delaware County, NY; 1830 at Windham, Greene County, NY; then beginning in 1850 through 1880 at Marathon, Cortland County, NY. He presumably had at least two wives, which might have included a son Eliphalet, who resided at Lapeer in Cortland County.

According to the transcription of the Marathon Cemetery, the following are interred at Section 4, Lot 52:

Barnes, Emily A., d. 08/21/1873, age 37, 4 52
Barnes, Amanda, d. 02/09/1886, age 47, 4 52
Robinson, Charles F., d. 09/15/1864, age 20, 004 52
Robinson, Julia A., d. 1875, [age 60], 004 52
Robinson, Lovel W., d. 04/28/1884, age 93, 004 52

The two Barnes girls were the stepdaughters of Lovell Robinson. Julia A. Robinson was at least Lovell's 2nd wife, the mother of the Barnes girls. Charles F. Robinson was Lovell's son presumably by wife Julia.
