MARTINSVILLE MORNING POST, Martinsville, Va., Tue., Jan. 5, 1937, p. 1, col. 6 [edited]. B. Luck Marshall, 79, well-known Martinsville citizen and lifelong Henry County resident died yesterday at his home at Moss and Church Streets, following a long decline in health after a stroke of paralysis suffered some time ago. Funeral services will be held from the home today. Knights of Pythias will act as pallbearers and flower bearers. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park. Surviving are four sisters: Mesdames J. P. Hill, J. H. Ashworth, J. M. Doyle, all of this city; Miss Annie Marshall, Roanoke; and one brother, J. Tom Marshall, this city. His wife died about four months ago.
The deceased, a son of the late John W. Marshall, was born near Horsepasture.
While a young man he moved to Martinsville. An active member of Patrick Henry lodge, Knights of Pythias, he took great interest in the order. He was a member of the Christian (Disciples) Church.
